The first film of this series is going to be based on saadat hasan manto's "Janaki". And the screenplay of janaki is almost ready, we are going to make this short in mumbai, we going to shoot it very soon…

This is a group of young and dynamic film makers and journalists. This group aims at bringing new generation of film makers to the real arena. The group compromises of film directors, animators, vfx artists, cinematographers, musicians, music directors, actors and television journalists. We want to promote the entire idea of short film making and also creating a great awareness amongst the youth that if they have the passion than they can become film makers.
We also want to create a completely new generation of producers. That's why a novel idea has come up to create as many producers as we can. So anyone who wants to be a producer of movies…they stand a great chance here. You just have to join this group….share ur idea or story ….and start making it with a bare minimum budget. The group will create finance for each and every story idea which deserves the camera treatment.
We film directors need ur help financially as well, so as to give shape to the ideas. Anyone who contributes becomes a film director…the contribution fees is very very less….just 500 rupees and u could become a producer….

Hello everybody, we are back …. :)
As all of you know we got very good response from our first short film “THE END”.
After that we made 2 music video total 16 songs, which are going to release very soon.

Now we are experience enough to think big and confidence enough to make something big.
We have some good offers also, but we want to make what we want to make so we start working on that.

Our very next project is again a short film after that we planning to make a full length feature film.
We also did much collaboration with other production houses, independent filmmakers.

We also are planning to make a platform for helping independent filmmaker.
Where, we help each other in different aspect of filmmaking.

So thanks for be with us, keep dreaming and happy filmmaking.

And we also has very good music composer with us now, he is from Mumbai and very good at music, will tell you more about him later.

Passion, Money and enthusiasms

Hello everyone Pankaj here, as we all knows we are working on a patriotic music video. So i am busy in calibrating things and making peoples come together to work on this and I have some hard time in this.

You know I have nothing on my hand as for as music part is concern so I have to find some good people who have passion for work and music and want show there capability to the world. I even find some enthusiastic peoples who have passion which I am looking for. But believe me it’s very hard to find passionate peoples as there are many who want to work with you only for money and all, and I am not want those peoples, they are there because of chance not because of choice.

I want peoples who became part of our team, who became part of our long term plane to make different and work different.

But I am happy to see that there are some passionate and enthusiastic peoples who are willing to work for his or her Passion. Though they are not that good but I find them more dedicated and fit our long term plans.

Lets finger crossed we will broke all record by this number. :)

Shoot Over ! Finally Humphfff!

Sorry for being late folks... Rigved this side from FWD !

Finally we complete our rest of the shoot after the elections on last saturday. Sumeet and I came around 6:00 PM and we had to shoot two shots in a daylight. A challenge... I thought, but Pankaj loves it.. So guess what? We shoot those two day shots at around 8:00 PM in the evening but since Pankaj has very good knowledge of light, no one can tell that those shots happend after sun sets.

In last post, I promised you guys to introduce Mr. Sumeet.K.Vinayak. Basically he belongs to Rajasthan and he came here to do something in Acting. Finally he started and I am so happy about him. A best buddy, he wants to do theater in a different way. Different from the traditional way. So, he came up with a very good concept about which I'll tell you after some things get sort out.

Our target to release the movie is 15th may and we are trying our best. Hopefully, by GOD's grace, if everything synchronizes well, you guys will see our work for sure..

Elections and Shoot

Hope u guys had a great weak and since its weakend, there must be a reson to celebrate for most of you guys... We also have one...

So, for the last portion of our movie, we decided to shoot it on last thursday, i.e. on 7th of may. That day delhi had election. I called my friend (Mr. Sumeet Vinayak and yes I am going to introduce him with you guys soon) from Rohini, which is too far from NOIDA (Pankaj's place) and he came willingly after giving his precious vote being a responsible citizen. But somehow we couldn't shot because of elections, No one was at home during day time so it was a bit frustrating.. Anyways, in the eve, we met Mr. Prahlad Patel, who has a specialty in script writing and Mr. Ghanshyam urf Ganu, who has a great sence of music. Toh, JAB WE MET, we discussed lots of thing like our upcoming projects, music, short movie script, Mr. Sumeet's play's script etc etc and we came up with lots of good ideas and executions. So now, these three energetic members are a part of Films With a Different and working in their own style for our upcoming projects..

Hope to come up with great results soon...Thanks a lot to all of you...

Ooooh.. editing is done but……… problems

Video Editing is done for our film, but there are some problems first is the sound, I want good background sounds, which we are trying to get. We are in talk to some sound guys to join our team and get some positive responses too. So this is not a big problem.

But the main problem is after watching our films first cut we are not very happy with some of the shots, and also I want to change last part of the script as I want to make more convenient it but again to do this we need to do one more shoot and it will take more time, it’s very frustrating as I want to Finnish it as early as possible. So we decided that 15th may will be the dead line for this project. We need to do a re shoot, sound designing and make final cut before that.

Anyways if you want to do good work it will take time, we also start working on our nest script which is very exciting concept but need to do lots of work, so we need a big team also for that. We invite all you to become a part of our team. Click on be a contributor on right side to know more.

ITS DARK OUTSIDE, ITS 2:00 AM

hii friends,

Its more or less like a movie scene. We got thrilled by the thought. How would it makes you feel at 2:00 Am in night if there is police knocking your door. Me and Pankaj were working on our movie and discussed few things before finally we went for our sweet sleep around 1:30 AM. I soon slept and started outing in my dreamy world. In my dream, I am running like hell through corridors, on big roads, on stairs until I found a room. I get myself locked inside that dark room and after 5 mins, there is a heavy knock on my door. Someone asks from the same room about which I have no idea. "Who is this? and the answer came out to be... ,"Police. Open the door. Its for the investigation.."

After few seconds I opened my eyes and saw Neeraj Bhaiya and Pankaj talking to some officers. That was a surprise check because Noida Police had some information regarding a criminal in that area and that entire colony was being cover by the officers for the inspection. After they left, I said to Pankaj.."Boss, it could be a next movie script. You never Know." And we laughed out at this stupid idea.

Ok, jokes apart, as Pankaj said we would like you to be a contributor for our films because results always gets out to be grand if there is a lot of team work. We are looking for potential music composers/ arrangers, compositors for visual effects, good story teller etc... so join us.. send us some of your work at filmswithadifferent@gmail.com which you think you are specialized in and we will let you know, how can we contribute you back.... differently... :D

HI Friends,
This is Neeraj, Sorry for return after long time because of my hectic job. As you all of knows we shoot our film last Sunday at my friends apartment. Some of my friends have rented flat at society near by us.
I hope all of you enjoyed the photos and video a lot in some last posts. Now post production work is going on. We will provide few other videos and photos on time by time.

Last Sunday when I was wake up then one thing in my mind, that is as soon as started shooting because we had a full day for shoot. After all we did well and all of us ready to move on time. Before start shoot we fixed all of the light according to script, set the frames, angles and definitely lot of discussions over scenes and shoots.

My all of friends gave us a lot of support and help to make sets. They also agreed that we fixed some unaligned things on apartment because of shooting. They were very happy during shoot. After that we had done some photo shoot also for my friends with light effect. All of those enjoyed their photos next day when I mailed all photos to him. We did lot of fun, masti and of course shooting.

Now we are working on some other ideas and this time it will be completely green screen shoot. I started thinking and write something on that and as soon as provide some special dish on the front of you. As like always we say thanks for your great support.

hello friends om prakash this side.we had shoot the all important scene of the film on 12th april . In the time of shooting we faced two problem like lighting and location .coz we were using halogen bt it was not good to shoot the film but we managed and the another problem was our location coz it was so dusty like nobody lived there but we cleaned the location with the help of broom like a sweeper . he he just kidding....
but the location of shooting was wel suitable for script and i think we did well . In the time of shooting our actor Mr. Rigved wants eyebrow pencil but i could'nt find. but he act nice like a professional actor. he worked hard and practiced all night to act in the movie. And Mr Pankaj he did also a nice job he is a genius man without his knowledge we can't shoot the film like this. And Mr Neeraj he supported us with his valuable suggestion. And finally me i am the subject of this movie.
i am a student right now but i learned many things with this team i want to thanks to all.
there is more to say but its ok for today.. byee

Hii Folks,

Rigved here... Finally, we had shoot yesterday at one of Neeraj bhai's friend's apartment. Damn!.. That was the very first reaction I had when I reached there coz it was like no one bothers to clean the space and I m sure it wasn't get cleaned since past few months at least, but ultimately all went well. we started shooting around 12:30 n finished it by 6 p.m. Although some shots are still left but the major part has done.

I was constantly saying to Pankaj that keep the environment serious so that I can relate to the character and be in that tensed frame of mind and he was constantly laughing and keeping the environment light. It was so funny, I am laughing at one moment and suddenly after opening the door I am again tensed...

There is so much to share...

Going in to Production now

Hello everyone Pankaj here,
Today I tested our new lights and they gave excellent results, the only problem with these kind of lights is heat. And with that heat our low cost lighting gel is not going to work, otherwise everything is fine with them. We are getting good result with them.

We are going to shoot our short film this Sunday and I will post some stills and videos of production after that.

In the meantime, we are exploring the new topics for our next film which is going to be a longer film. So we are discussing the concepts, what we are thinking is to use lots of green-screen in background inset of sets as we will not be able to make big sets and use CG,matte panting in the backgrounds.

So if you want to part of this dissection you are most welcome, give your views and thoughts on this.

Lights – with a different

Hello every one. Pankaj here, I was caught by very bad thyroid infection and fever on Saturday :( , feeling little easy now.

Sooo. The search of lights continues on Sunday also, we got no breakthrough. Then I came to a decision that We do it with a different we will not use professional lights and make our own light by using normal halogens, normal bulbs, CFL etc.

Today I started some R&D with these kinds of lights; we bought these two normal halogen lights

Hi folks. This is Rigved. When Pankaj told me about this concept of the short story, I felt thrilled. Can you imagine? just imagine... you are just about to get dead. Hearing is the last sense that you'll loose feeling. what would be the things that woould be running at that time in your mind.

I am blessed to be surrounded by some doctors since my early delhi days. That group is like a group of family doctors. (Good for me as I am always under hygienic supervision :)). I discussed this topic with a bunch of doctors as they have a lots of good, bad, ugly experiences about death and life. Dr. Abhay told me that it happens when somebody hits you with a rod or with some hard object or you suddnly fall from somewhere, when you interact with the floor or object, there is no sence of pain for first few moments.... Same happens in the case of a sudden accident. you even don't realise that the blood is coming out from your forehead unless someone tells you or you yourself see your face in mirror...(I had a chilhood experience. somebody hited me on my head with a solid stick and I even did'nt realised that my hooks are already open... :D)

I also want to know as an actor, how it feels to be just in between the time of loosing the last breath. plz share your thoughts about it. any word is welcome....

Problem, Problem, Problem

Hello friends, Neeraj here

Today we spend lots of time for arrange all the props for the production. Like lights, phone, dressing table etc
And we face lots of problem in arranging them, especially in lights; we call a number equipment rental house, first one said there lights is not free, all his lights busy somewhere.

Then we called another one, he said he has lights but he only confirms after one hour, he didn’t call back, when we call him back no one pick phone. We call another vender but same story no lights free.

We become little frustrated from this then we call one of my friend Sudip, he is painter. But he is outside, he told us he give us a friend difference who can help us but only by night as his friend no is not with him.

By night he us a reference of one of his friend who also makes documentary films, so as I writing we are trying to contact him.

We decide if we will not able to arrange lights we bought a normal halogen light and use it with gels. So let’s see what will happen tomorrow.

And in the case of dressing table with long mirror, we have hard time too. We will not able to find what we want, my friend talk to one of his neighbor who has this king of this but he told us by tomorrow. So Pankaj suggested we use green screen on the place of mirror and place a cg mirror in post.

So friends let’s start tomorrow and solve some problems with full enthusiasms and make a good film with a different.

So from today I starting posting

so we (me and my elder brother Neeraj) planning to make a 120 min full length feature film, currently working on the different subject and ideas which I have, I will post some of the idea which I have for your suggestions soon…..

In the meanwhile

We are working on a short fiction; it’s a suspense drama type film. It has one main and four other characters in it; main character will be played by my good friend Rigved and all other characters will be played by my other friends. Some of my friend will help us in production.

I have Sony DCR hc96 handyman planning to shoot with it next week in a friend’s apartment.

There are 31 shots which I think we can shoot in one day.

Currently desperately looking for some lights, we need at least 3 or 4 redhead light for a day, just calling to different peoples for this.

Hello every one

I am Pankaj, I am visual effect artist and small time independent film maker, I have some ambitious plane to make some films as every film maker have but I think differently I want to make my film differently so I made this blog to share what I am doing, how I am doing what is progress of my film and in the end my final film and want to all the people to give your advise throughout the projects.

I think more people involved in these projects, more good result we get

So I expect from you to your comment on the work whether it’s positive or negative
I want “With A Different” films actually become different, in term of quality, making, distribution etc

So thinks as these films are we making as we want to see not as somebody else who never speak to you, never meet you and never ask for your idea , he just come with a stupid idea of his mind and though it to us. Most of them not making film because they want to, they just want to make films only for money and because they take a birth in film maker’s house.

let’s make the something we want to watch, something you make for yourself.

So please start giving your idea, comments, how we should approach it or you agree or disagree with me, what I am thinking is very stupid, I am mad, anything you want to say
